Apple’s first product launch of 2025 will be the Powerbeats Pro 2, according to a report published on Monday. The report suggests that Cupertino is likely to introduce the Powerbeats Pro 2 on February 11.
These wireless earbuds are expected to cater to fitness enthusiasts and will be the first pair of earphones from Apple to offer real-time heart rate monitoring.
Compared to its predecessor—the Powerbeats Pro—the upcoming iteration is said to come in more colour options with a sportier design, including an adjustable ear hook for a secure fit.
This claim is backed by a teaser video released by Apple, which features MLB star Shohei Ohtani flaunting the Powerbeats Pro, which appears leaner and more compact
Similar to the AirPods Pro 2, the Powerbeats Pro 2 are expected to be on the expensive side, with a speculated price of around $250 (approximately ₹25,000).
In terms of capabilities, they are said to be powered by the H2 chip, featuring improved active noise cancellation and longer battery life compared to the AirPods Pro 2.
They are also expected to be available in an array of colours, including a vibrant Electric Orange shade.
Like the current lineup of Beats-branded earbuds from Apple, the upcoming Powerbeats Pro 2 will likely be compatible with both Android and iOS devices.
However, the heart rate monitoring feature may be limited to iPhone users via the Health app, allowing real-time heart rate tracking during workouts with an option to sync with a treadmill.
Considering Beats recently entered the Indian market, the Powerbeats Pro 2 are likely to arrive in India soon after the global launch.
