Reliance Jio Bharat, India's cheapest 4G phone goes on sale at Rs.999

Reliance Jio has introduced a budget-friendly 4G phone called 'Jio Bharat' at an affordable price of Rs. 999.

The phone's sales commenced on July 7th, and Reliance Jio aims to eliminate 2G technology from India through the widespread adoption of this device.

The Jio Bharat Phone is specifically targeted towards individuals who are unable to afford expensive smartphones but still rely on basic features.

Alongside the phone, Jio has launched an inexpensive mobile plan called the Jio Bharat Mobile Plan.

Jio Bharat 4G Phone: Availability

Starting today, approximately one million units of the Jio Bharat Phone are available for purchase. These phones will be offered as part of a beta trial in 6,500 tehsils across the country. If you wish to buy this phone, you can do so by visiting Reliance Digital Store, Jio Retail Outlet, or other mobile retail outlets.

The Jio Bharat Phone comes in two variants: Jio Bharat V2 and Jio Bharat K1 Karbonn. The Jio Bharat V2 is developed by Reliance Jio, while the Jio Bharat K1 Karbonn is a collaboration between Jio and the smartphone company Karbonn.

This partnership with Karbonn has led to the creation of the Jio Bharat K1 Karbonn. Additionally, other smartphone companies have the opportunity to manufacture their own mobile devices using the 'Jio Bharat platform' provided by Jio.

Jio Bharat V2

The phone is available in two colors, Ash Blue and Solo Black, and comes with a rear camera. It is equipped with a headphone jack and guarantees high-quality sound. Users can enjoy a 4G connection, enabling them to make UPI payments and watch movies using Jio apps.

Jio Bharat K1 Karbonn

The phone showcases the 'Bharat' logo on the front and the Karbonn logo on the back. It is available in a single color option, 'Grey and Red.' The phone features a rear camera and supports UPI payments through JioPe.

Users can enjoy movies and sports through the JioCinema app. Both phones come with a keypad reminiscent of traditional feature phones.

Jio Bharat Mobile plan

Additionally, the Reliance Jio has introduced a dedicated mobile plan called the 'Jio Bharat Mobile Plan' for these smartphones. Priced at Rs. 123 per month, this plan offers users 500 MB of daily data along with unlimited calling for a month. In other words, users will receive a total of 14 GB of data in a month. For an annual subscription, the plan costs Rs. 1234 and provides users with 168 GB of data.
