Reliance Jio has launched a new Wi-Fi 6 router in India called the Jio AX6000 Universal Router, aimed at users who want a fast and reliable internet connection across big homes and smart setups.
Priced at Rs 5,999, this dual-band router offers up to 4,800Mbps speeds, wide coverage, and support for over 100 devices at the same time.
As per Jio, their new router works with all internet service providers (ISPs) and is compatible with fibre, broadband, and DSL connections.
With features like Jio's True AI Mesh, MU-MIMO, and OFDMA technology, the AX6000 is designed to make high-speed internet accessible and efficient for large families, gamers, and anyone with a smart home setup.
The Jio AX6000 supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands under a single SSID, so users don't have to manually switch networks when moving around the house.
It delivers speeds of up to 4,800Mbps on the 5GHz band and up to 1,200Mbps on the 2.4GHz band, combining to offer a maximum theoretical speed of 6,000Mbps.
Thanks to the support of the latest Wi-Fi 6 standard, users can expect better range, improved network stability, and lower latency, even with multiple devices connected at once.
One of the highlights of this router is that it comes with built-in Jio True AI Mesh support, which means users can link multiple routers together for seamless Wi-Fi coverage throughout a large space.
The AX6000 is also equipped with a quad-core chipset for smooth performance and features upgraded LAN ports that claim to be four times faster than traditional ports.
In terms of compatibility, the AX6000 works universally with any existing internet setup through an Ethernet connection. It does not support IPPOE or PPOE setups, only IP over DHCP.
Setting up the device is easy, too â users just need to plug it in and follow instructions through the JioHome app, available for download on both Android and iOS platforms.
