Flipkart launches its own UPI handle for Android users
Currently available for Android smartphone users via the Flipkart app, users can register for a new UPI ID, which can be used for fund transfers and in-app payments
Flipkart launched its own UPI handle @fkaxis in collaboration with Axis Bank on Sunday. They also announced a new scheme under the tagline ‘India’s Most Rewarding UPI’.
Currently available for Android smartphone users via the Flipkart app, users can register for a new UPI ID, which can be used for fund transfers and in-app payments.
Flipkart UPI offers convenient and zero-cost solutions along with a smooth onboarding process.
Additionally, Flipkart offers one-click and quick payments for mobile recharge and bill payment within the app. Flipkart also provides the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card.
Flipkart UPI can also be used to make payments outside the Flipkart marketplace by scanning QR codes. Since Flipkart separated from PhonePe in 2022, it has been working on introducing its own dedicated UPI.
Users with any bank account can create a new UPI ID on Flipkart for free of cost.
However, as mentioned earlier, the feature is currently limited to Android smartphones, and the same is expected to be rolled out to iPhone users in the coming days.
