New Update

Apple will open its first retail store in India soon, as the world’s most valuable tech company speeds up expansion and focus on high-end products to preserve its exclusive image in the country.

The Cupertino, California-based company released a picture of the barricade of its retail store in India’s financial capital of Mumbai on Wednesday, though the formal date of opening is yet to be announced.

The first Apple Store is coming up at the Jio World Drive mall, which is owned by billionaire Mukesh Ambani.

Apple is also building its second retail store, which is scheduled to open in the coming days in Delhi.

Apple is bringing the Apple Store to India at a time when the company has seen explosive growth in its products, especially the iPhone, in the country.

India has the second biggest market for smartphones, giving Apple a lot of potential to grow in the upper tier of the smartphone segment.

Cupertino is also lately expanding its manufacturing facility in India.

Apple has more than 500 stores in major global cities including New York, Dubai, London and Tokyo. Each store has been redesigned to “feel like a town square” and events space for the general public.

Apple Stores are known for a canopy of trees and an area that hosts all of the Today at Apple events, with a large “video wall” that is used in the more interactive sessions.
