The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested two people in connection with the drug angle in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

The NCB arrested Abdul Basit Parihar from Mumbai, the ANI reported on Wednesday. “He had connection with Samuel Miranda (Rhea Chakraborty’s associate). Miranda is accused of procuring drugs on instructions of Showik Chakraborty (Rhea Chakraborty’s brother),” sources said.

The NCB had also arrested Zaid Vilatra from Mumbai in connection with the case. Miranda is Sushant Singh’s former housekeeping manager,sources reported.

On August 26, the NCB filed a criminal case against Rhea Chakraborty and others for their alleged dealings in banned drugs.

They said various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) have been pressed in the complaint filed by the federal anti-drugs agency on an official reference received from the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Rhea has been questioned by the ED about these suspect drug deals and her statement on these allegations has been recorded by it under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), officials said.

Her lawyer Satish Manehsinde had vehemently denied the allegations
