India's mixed doubles pair of Tanisha Crasto and Ishaan Bhatnagar entered the pre-quarterfinals of the Taipei Open Super 300 tournament in Taipei yesterday.

The Indian duo overcame on world No. 95 Israeli duo of Misha Zilberman and Svetlana Zilberman 21-15, 21-8.

The other two Indian players lost their matches in the qualifying round.

In the men's singles, Sankar Muthusamy Subramanian failed to win against Liao Jhuo Fu of Chinese Taipei.

In the women's singles, Keyura Mopati lost to Indonesia's Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi.

Parupalli Kashyap will open his campaign against local challenger Chi Yu Jen today. Other Indian shuttlers like Malvika Bansod, Kiran George, Priyanshu Rajawat, Mithun Manjunath will all be in action on the day.

However, star shuttler of India Saina Nehwal pulled out from the tournament at the eleventh hour while Double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu is also not competing.
