In men’s singles, Lakshya suffered a first-round exit on this year’s tour after a 11-21, 22-20, 15-21 loss against China’s Shi Yu Qi.

Meanwhile, Anupama Upadhyaya exited after a straight-games loss against South Korea’s Kim Ga Eun.
