Verma is presently two rating points ahead of Mooney at 726, having risen to number one for the first time during the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020.

Meanwhile, Australia skipper Meg Lanning and all-rounder Tahlia McGrath have risen in the rankings after strong efforts in the first match in Adelaide helped their team win the three-match home series against England 1-0.

In the only match with a result, the pair put on a 144-run unbroken second-wicket partnership, with Lanning's 44-ball 64 enabling her overtake India's Smriti Mandhana to third spot and McGrath's Player of the Match effort of 91 off 49 propelling her 29 places to 28th place.

Sri Lanka skipper Chamari Athapaththu has moved up six places to ninth place in the latest weekly update, which incorporates results from the just finished five-team ICC Commonwealth Games Qualifier 2022 in Kuala Lumpur. Murshida Khatun of Bangladesh has moved up 35 positions to 48th place after scoring 126 runs.

Danni Wyatt (70) and Tammy Beaumont (30), who shared an 82-run partnership in the opening encounter, have also been promoted. Wyatt has moved up three spots to 13th place, and Beaumont has moved up two spots to 16th place, with skipper Heather Knight joining them in the top 20.

Athapaththu has climbed four places to 52nd among bowlers after being named Player of the Series at the Kuala Lumpur competition, which also featured Bangladesh, Scotland, Kenya, and hosts Malaysia. Her four wickets in the competition included a three-wicket haul against Bangladesh in the tournament's last match on Monday.

In the list lead by Sophie Devine of New Zealand, Athapaththu has moved up one spot to seventh among all-rounders.
