With the provisional squads for the Men's T20 World Cup to be sent to the International Cricket Council (ICC) in the first week of May, the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season is set to form the basis for teams across the world to zero in on their selection.
But as far as Team India is concerned, a media report suggests the BCCI selectors are likely to bite the bullet and leave Virat Kohli out of the squad for big-ticket tournament.
Set to be jointly hosted by the West Indies and the USA, the T20 World Cup will be held from June 2 to 29.
The Indian team will be led by Rohit Sharma, as confirmed by the BCCI secretary Jay Shah earlier this month.
However, the inclusion of Kohli for the tournament is not certain, according to a report published in 'The Telegraph'.
India's failure to win an ICC trophy since the 2013 Champions Trophy may force the selectors to take a few tough decisions, including that of leaving out former captain Kohli.
