PV Sindhu to take on South Korea's An Seyoung in final today

PV Sindhu will take on South Korea's An Seyoung in the final of BWF World Tour Finals in Bali today. The two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu entered the final beating Akane Yamaguchi in the semi-finals yesterday. This was the 21st meeting between Sindhu and Yamaguchi. And after this win, Sindhu leads the head-to-head record by 13-8.

In the group phase, the Indian won two matches and lost one. Her only loss came on Friday against Pornpawee Chochuwong. The Thai player defeated Sindhu in the last Group match.

India's Lakshya Sen lost to Olympic Champion, Danish Viktor Axelsen by 21-13, 21-11.

On Friday, Viktor Axelsen and Tokyo Games silver medallist Tai Tzu Ying were named the BWF Male and Female Player of the Year respectively in recognition of their stellar runs this season.
