Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the para-athletes who represented India at the recently concluded Paralympics 2024 in Paris, France.

PM Modi congratulated the medalists and participants for their outstanding performance at the event. He remarked that the Paralympian’s perspective on life is a great strength for everyone.

During the interaction, Gold Medalist Sumit Antil thanked Mr Modi and dedicated one of his gold medals to him. Antil mentioned that after the Tokyo Games, the Prime Minister had made him promise to win two more gold medals.

Silver Medalist Sharad Kumar expressed his gratitude for the motivation he received before the games and said nobody has accepted Paragames the way the Prime Minister did.

Kumar said he felt immensely proud to see the Indian Paralympic contingent and believed that this team has already established India as a sporting nation.

Other athletes also shared how the Prime Minister’s support helps them manage pressure and how his words fuel their focus.
