In Paris Olympics  Archers Ankita Bhakat and Dhiraj Bommadevara started the day on a positive note as they combined to beat Indonesia 5-1 to qualify for the quarterfinals of mixed team event.

Having won a historic two medals already, Manu Bhaker looks to qualify for a chance at an unprecedented third in the 25m Pistol Women’s Qualification Precision which is underway.

Sailors Vishnu Saravanan and Nethra Kumanan as well as Golfers Shubhankar Sharma and Gaganjeet Bhullar continue their events today.

The second-half of Day 7 will begin with hockey, where the men’s team will take on Australia and look to bounce back to winning ways.

Meanwhile, India’s only shuttler left, Lakshya Sen will take on Chinese Taipei’s Chou Tien Chen in the men’s singles quarter-finals.

Towards the end of the second-half,  lots of athletics as Ankita Dhyani, Paril Chaudhary and Tajinderpal Singh Toor will feature in the women’s 5,000m heats and men’s shot put qualification respectively.
