As stated, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra presented golden boy Neeraj Chopra with a personalised Mahindra XUV700. The 23-year-old sportsman thanked Anand Mahindra for the gift in a photo with his brand-new car.

"Thank you @anandmahindra ji for the new set of wheels with some very special customisation! I'm looking forward to taking the car out for a spin very soon (sic)." Neeraj Chopra posted alongside a photo of himself posing next to the car. The post has 82k likes and 6k retweets.

With athlete Neeraj Chopra's victory at the Tokyo Olympics this year, India made history. People began thanking the sportsman on social media for his outstanding performance after his stunning victory. One Twitter user, however, requested a Mahindra XUV700 for 'golden boy' Neeraj Chopra.

Anand Mahindra responded to the Twitter user saying, "Yes indeed. It will be my personal privilege & honour to gift our Golden Athlete an XUV 7OO @rajesh664 @vijaynakra Keep one ready for him please (sic)."

Sumit Antil, who won a gold medal in the F16 Men's javelin throw at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, received a same model XUV700 SUV from Anand Mahindra. "We are so proud of you @sumit_javelin. Thank you for giving us the privilege of sharing our very own 'Javelin' with you! May the Force be with you always (sic)," Anand Mahindra wrote sharing a picture of Sumit Antil posing with the car.

After Abhinav Bindra, Neeraj Chopra became the only Indian to win an individual Olympic gold medal.
