Badminton, World Championships bronze medallist Lakshya Sen will face Lu Guang Zu of China in the Men's Singles quarterfinals of the All England Championships in Birmingham todaỵ.

The 20-year-old stunned third seed Anders Antonsen of Denmark in straight games 21-16, 21-18 yesterday to progress to the last eight stages.

In Men's Doubles, Indian pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty also entered the quarterfinals after defeating Mark Lamfuss and Marvin Seidel of Germany 21-7, 21-7.

Fifth seeded Satwiksairaj and Chirag will take on top seeds Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo of Indonesia today.

In Women's Double, Debutantes Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand also advanced to last eight stage after their sixth-seeded opponents Greysia Polii and Apriyani Rahayu from Indonesia retired in the second game lagging 14-19 after winning the first game 21-18.

The unseeded Indian pair will face second seeds Lee So-hee and Shin Seung-chan of South Korea today.

However, PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth crashed out of the tournament.

Kidambi lost to fifth seed Anthony Sinisuka Ginting of Indonesia 21-9, 18-21, 19-21 in second round of Men's Singles.

Earlier, PV Sindhu was overpowered by Sayaka Takahashi of Japan 21-19, 16-21, 21-17 in the second round of Women's Singles.

Previously, Saina went down fighting against second seed Akane Yamaguchi of Japan 14-21, 21-17, 17-21 in the second round of Women's Singles.
