In Cricket, India defeated West Indies by 8 runs in the second T20 International of the three-match series at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata last night. Chasing victory target of 187 runs, West Indies made 178 for 3 in stipulated 20 overs. Earlier put into bat, hosts scored 186 for 5 in 20 overs.

For India, Virat Kohli and Risabh Pant scored 52 runs each while Roston Chase picked up 3 wickets for West Indies. Rovman Powell scored 68 and Nicholas Pooran contributed 62 runs for the visitors. Risabh Pant adjudged the player of the match.

The Men in Blue now have 2-0 unassailable lead in the three-match T20 cricket series. The last T20 match of the series will be held tomorrow at the same venue. West Indies already lost the preceding ODI series 0-3.
