India defeated Sri Lanka by 91 runs in the third and final T20 International in Rajkot last night. With this victory, India clinched the three match series 2-1.

Chasing a target of 229 runs, Sri Lanka were all out for 137 in 16.4 overs. Earlier electing to bat first after winning the toss, India posted a mammoth 228 runs losing five wickets.

Suryakumar Yadav remained unbeaten on 112 in 51 balls. Axar Patel also remained not out on 21.

Shubman Gill made 46 runs and Rahul Tripathi contributed 35.

While Arshdeep Singh took three wickets, Umran Malik, Hardik Pandya and Yuzvendra Chahal claimed two wickets each.

Suryakumar Yadav was declared Man of the Match and Axar Patel player of the series.

The 1st ODI of the three-match series between the two countries will be played in Guwahati on Tuesday from 1.30 pm.
