In Men's Singles, world number two Daniil Medvedev was knocked out of the French Open by 172nd-ranked Thiago Seyboth Wild in the first round.

Brazilian qualifier Wild stunned Medvedev in a five-set thriller at Roland Garros.

It was Medvedev's fifth loss in the opening round at Roland Garros in seven appearances.

In other matches, last year's finalist Casper Ruud registered a straight-set win over Elias Ymer, while two-time semi-finalist Alexander Zverev moved past South African Lloyd Harris.
