Experienced archers failed to qualify for World Cup Stage 4, World Championship

Experienced archer Abhishek Verma and three-time Olympian Atanu Das failed to make the cut, while four uncapped players secured their spots.

Among the standout performers were Maharashtra’s 15-year-old Gatha Khadake and Sharvari Shende, who earned places in the four-member women’s recurve team, finishing behind veterans Deepika Kumari and Ankita Bhakat.

All four archers will participate in the World Cup Stage 4, scheduled to be held in Madrid from July 8 to 13.

However, only the top three will go on to compete at the World Championship in Gwangju, set to take place from September 5 to 12.
