Daughter of paper distributor in Vadodara to represent Gujarat in national Kick Boxing tournament at Pune

Vadodara girl Akshada Dalvi will represent the city and Gujarat in Wako India Cadets and Juniors National Kick Boxing Championship from 21 to 25 December in Pune.

Vadodara girl Akshada Dalvi will represent the city and Gujarat in Wako India Cadets and Juniors National Kick Boxing Championship from 21 to 25 December in Pune. The tournament is selection for the internationals and Akshada is practicing hard to fulfill her dream to win it. She is the daughter of a paper distributor.

After won gold medals in district, state and recently held President Cup Kick Boxing tournament, Akshada is now preparing for the nationals as it's the selection for the Internationals. "I started to learn Karate and later Kick Boxing four years ago as a passion and for self defence. As I won medals the game attracts me more and now I am going to play national tournament at Pune. The championship is important as it gives me a chance to play International which is my dream. The support from my father and coach always push me to perform well and won medals," said Akshada.

Akshada's father is a paper distributor but he never allow this to come in between her practice. "I am into paper distribution since 1989 and allow my daughter to learn her choice of sport during the summer vacation after she passed 5th standard. Slowly she get attached to the sport and won medals which gives me a new found identity. People now recognise me as Akshada's father and I fill with pride," said Ajay Dalvi.

Proud coach Siddharth Bhalegare said, Akshada is dedicated towards her passion and clear about her goals. She performed brilliantly in district, state and President Cup tournaments and now going to participate in Nationals at Pune which is the selection for the World Championship. She is a inspiration for others in the class and is passionate about her game.
