Lakshya defeated Japan's Kenta Nishimoto 21-17, 21-14 in the semi-final, early morning today, in Calgary, Canada.

Commonwealth Games champion Lakshya reached his first BWF World Tour final after almost a year.

In the final, Lakshya will clash with Li Shifeng of China tomorrow. Earlier, Japan's Akane Yamaguchi beat P.V. Sindhu 21-14, 21-15 in the Women's Singles semi-final late last night.
