The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to implement a policy requiring state associations to obtain approval from the parent body for engaging with foreign boards for training camps and competitions.
This decision is expected to be finalized during the upcoming Apex Council meeting scheduled for March 18.
The decision comes in response to several state units, including Delhi and Puducherry, independently initiating discussions with foreign boards, particularly associate nations, for hosting them on exposure trips.
Notably, the Delhi and Districts Cricket Association recently received a proposal from the Nepal board.
According to sources within the BCCI, while state units can collaborate with foreign boards for cricket-related activities, all such agreements must be facilitated through the BCCI.
