At the Hangzhou Asian Games in China, India amassed a total of historic 88 medals, including 21 gold, 32 silver, and 35 bronze.

India is currently in fourth place in the medal tally. This is India's best-ever performance at the Asian Games surpassing the previous best of 70 medals at the 18th edition of Asian Games in Jakarta.

Today, Indian recurve women's team in Archery clinched bronze after defeating Vietnam 6-2 in the bronze medal play off match.

In Badminton, H S Prannoy had to settle for a bronze. China's Li Shi Feng got the better of the Indian shuttler in the semifinal by 2-0.

In men's cricket, India thrased Bangladesh by 9 wickets in semi final and qualified for the final. In wrestling, Bajrang Punia was defeated by an Iranian grappler in the semifinal.

Aman, Sonam and Kiran also faced losses in their respective category semifinal matches. They will fight for the bronze medal later today.

Earlier the trio of Jyoti, Parneet, and Aditi secured Gold in the women's team compound event prevailing over Chinese Taipei with a scoreline of 230-228. In Squash, Indian mixed doubles pair Dipika Pallikal and Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu clinched the gold medal after defeating the Malaysian pair. Saurav Ghosal settles with a silver against Eain Yow NG of Malaysia in the men’s individual match.
