He also congratulated the men's team for winning silver medal in 4x400m mixed relay event.
In Boxing, Preeti lost her semifinal against Chang Yuan of China in the 54kg weight category to win the bronze medal.
Lovlina Borgohain advanced into the final of the women's boxing 75kg event by beating Thailand's Baison Maneekon in the semifinal.
In Canoeing, the duo of Arjun Singh and Sunil Singh Salam won bronze in the Men's Canoe Double 1000m event. In Cricket, India secured a spot in the semi-finals of the men's cricket match with a 23-run victory over Nepal.
In Sport Climbing, Anisha Verma and Shivpreet Pannu entered the top 16 of the women's speed qualification event. In Archery, Jyothi Surekha Vennam advanced to the final of the Individual Women Compound Event by defeating Aditi Gopichand.
Aditi Gopichand Swami will play for bronze. She earlier shattered the Asian Games record score twice in the event. Abhidhek Verma beat Andrey Tyutyun of Kzazkhstan in the compound men's individual quarterfinal.
Ojas Pravin Deotale beat Yang Jaewon by 150-146. Abhishek Verma secured his spot in the Men's Individual Compound Final with a victory over Korea, with a scoreline of 147-145.
Ojas will later take on Abhishek in the gold medal match, essentially confirming both gold and silver for India.
In Women's Hockey, team India has entered the semifinals by defeating Hong Kong 13-0 in their last league match. In Women's 800m, Chanda finished 1st in her heat and Harmilan Bains finished 1st in her heat. In tennis, the women's team beat Mongolia by 3-0. Indian mixed doubles squash pair Dipika Pallikal and Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu beat Japan in the Pool A encounter. In the Men's 4 x 400m Relay Round 1, India finished 1st and entered the final. In Kabaddi, India comfortably trounced Bangladesh by 55-18 in their first Group stage match. In badminton, HS Prannoy beat Munkhbat of Mongolia in the men's singles Round of 32 and PV Sindhu beat Wen Chi Hsu of Chinese Taipei in the women's singles round of 32.
