40 vehicles and volunteers extend help to help them reach the booths

Vadodara district chief election officer Shalini Agarwal takes a special step for helping the divyangs voters to reach the polling booths. Special vehicles are arranged by the election commission for them to reach polling booths and back home on 23rd April 2019.

Divyang voters nodal officer Hetal Parmar said the administration is taking every step to help the divyang voters to involve in elections and help them casting their votes. From giving them preference in the booths the administration make vehicular arrangements for them to reach the booths. Two vehicles per assembly election area is assigned to travel the old age, pregnant women and divyangs are assigned by the election commission.

Chief election officer and district collector Shalini Agarwal said the district administration is making every efforts to help the needy voters to cast their votes inside polling booths. Around 40 vehicles arranged by various departments and organisations will help the divyang voters to reach the polling booth and drop back. She said students and volunteers from NSS, MSU, Navrachana University, Parul University will help the divyangs, old age and pregnant ladies to cast their votes.
