Air Marshal HS Arora AVSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief felicitated Air Warriors with Certificates of appreciation and cash prizes for their outstanding contribution in sports for the year 2018-19. The ceremony was attended by Senior Officers and Air Warriors at HQ South Western Air Command (SWAC), Gandhinagar.
SWAC has excelled in Kabaddi, Squash, Hockey, Cricket, Handball, Aquatics, Weight Lifting, Athletics, Water polo and Football etc. SWAC has bagged 27 Gold, 36 Silver and 19 Bronze medals in the Air Force Championship 2018-19.
Sports and Adventure activities are an integral part of soldiering. SWAC conducts numerous sports and adventure events throughout the year to inculcate spirit of sportsmanship and adventurism among the air warriors. Many air warriors have represented Services and National level sports events.
