Steals the show in a Samurai inspired collection

Sonu Sood walks for Siddhesh Chauhan Director, JadeBlue lifestyle India Ltd. at Lakme Fashion Week. The actor steals the show wearing Samurai inspired collection walking on the ramp.

Siddhesh Chauhan showcased his Samurai inspired collection under his eponymous label at the Lakme Fashion Week 2018. The show kickstarted with models donning looks in tones of grey and black with highlights of orange.

Sonu Sood, closed the show in an asymmetric sleeveless bandhgala jacket with handmade origami triangles. It was paired with an organza sleeve striped cotton kurta and horizontal lined pants with orange detailing on them. The overall look personified the panache of a contemporary Samurai.

The highlight of the collection is the origami technique used to give interesting folds and dimensions in every look. The line also uses minimal cuts, pleated textures, transparency, gathering and fabric manipulation to define the style of the Samurais. The silhouettes are inspired from three basic shapes triangle, square and circle, which are underlying constants.

“I have always been a fan of Samurais and their way of life. I have been blessed to work with the likes of Jackie Chan and learn martial arts and when I saw Siddhesh’s line I was awed by his work. He has captured their discipline and demure so elegantly in this collection, it feels wonderful to be a part of his vision,” said Sonu Sood on walking the ramp for designer Siddhesh Chauhan.

Talking about the collection Siddhesh Chauhan said, “It has been a pleasure to be a part of Lakme Fashion Week for the first time. The collection has received an overwhelming response and this is just the beginning. Balance is the key and with each collection I try to balance out the textures, colors and fabrics by keeping it clean and minimal.”

He further added, “I am thankful to Sonu Sood for personifying and bringing my vision to life with so much élan. He is such a sport and a fitness enthusiast that when I thought of the collection he was the only one who came to my mind. It has been great associating with him.”

The collection is available at select JadeBlue stores currently and will soon be available at other multi designer stores.
