Sindhi couple in Vadodara tied the knot on auspicious day of Buddha Purnima

Invited guests maintain social distance and follow government guidelines during the ceremony

A Sindhi couple in Vadodara tied the knot on the auspicious
day of Buddha Purnima on Thursday. Among the presence of 20 guests the couple
complete the rituals as per Sindhi traditions and also maintained the
government guidelines in view of Coronavirus and lockdown. The family wish to
donate the remaining amount to government for steps taken for Corona pandemic.



Amit son of readymade garments store owner Vedprakash Arya
and Puja tied the knot with Kanchan daughter of bakery businessman Prakashbhai
and Manisha in a simple ceremony on Thursday with Sindhi rituals. Earlier both
the families finalise the lavish wedding on 27th April 2020 but due to lockdown
all their plans are grounded. Hence both the families decide to organise the
marriage on 7th May on the auspicious day of Buddha Purnima.



As the bride and the groom are ready for simple marriage, the
families contact local councillor Purshotam Hemnani and he get the permission
after met the collector. District collector gives permission on condition of 20
people attending the marriage and everyone follow government guidelines.



The permission bring smile on the faces of the families and
on 7th May as decided both Amit and Kanchan tied the knot as per Sindhi rituals
in a simple ceremony. The ceremony is held at Arya Samaj hall at Warasia on the
auspicious day of Buddha Purnima. All the guests wearing masks attend the
wedding and maintain social distance. The families also make arrangements of
sanitisers for the guests at the venue.



Father of groom Vedprakash Arya said, this is the first
marriage ceremony in both the families and both decided earlier to make it a
lavish one. But due to Coronavirus all their plans are grounded and they decide
to do it in a simple way. They wish to use the money saved from the wedding to
fight against the Corona pandemic.
