Shyam Sundar Paliwal  known for turning a small village
Piplantari into a green splashed land is now working to turn it as tourist
village. The man gives the girls of his village a new identity is working
towards a mission to rejuvenate the villages and stop the outgoing of people
towards cities. Implementing the government schemes and other ways he is
generating employment opportunities for the people in the village itself and
stop their inflow towards urban areas.

With his mission he visited Parul University

for an Interaction with students about Rural Development and
also met the sarpanchs of nearby villages. ” It’s a good interaction with
the students as they want to know the model of rural development and also
showed their eagerness to visit and study our model. I also had an interaction
with Sarpanchs from nearby villages about challenges they faced and solutions
to overcome it. Some of them also invited me to visit their villages and
implement the Piplantri model there,” said Paliwal.

Shyam Sundar Paliwal, social Activist and former of Sarpanch
of Piplantri village creates a self sustained model village of Rajasthan for
the others to follow. He started ‘Kiran Nidhi Yojna’ in memory of his daughter
and whenever a girl child is born in the village, 111 trees are planted in her
name and and a deposit of Rs. 31000 is fixed in the bank. 10000 from the amount
is contributed by the family of the girl child and rest by the panchayat and
other villagers.

“I started the mission in memory of my daughter and
after that we decide to plant 111 saplings on the birth of a daughter in
Piplantri. The village once considered as  barren land is now blessed with
around 3.5 lakh trees. The water level is also increased and animals and birds
are also moving in the dense green shades. From this year we have implemented
the government Sukhanya scheme and creates fixed deposits of 60 girls. With
this we bring respect to girls, save forests and increase the ground water
level for the future,” said Paliwal.

Shyam Sunder and the people of his village have planted aloe
vera, rose plants and many trees to make various products by using it. This has
helped in generating employment for the people of Piplantri. His work model is
undertaken by many villages in Rajasthan, UP and Maharashtra. Looking at his
ground breaking efforts he was also invited in KBC recently.

“It was a great experience with Amitabh Bachchan as he
congratulate and motivated me to continue the good work. On a personal front he
gives 11 lakhs for our mission. Superstar Akshay Kumar also showed his interest
in making a film on my work to turn the village a smiling face of happiness and
prosperity,” said Paliwal.
