    OSD seeking reply in seven days

    OSD Dr. Vinod Rao issued a Show Cause notice to Dr. Rajeev Deveshwar, Medical Superintendent of SSG hospital for dereliction of duties and serious supervisory lapses on his part. The notice was issued after the report submitted by administrator and advisor of dedicated Covid hospital.

    The administration are increasing number of Beds in Designated COVID Hospitals in GMERS Gotri and SSG Hospital. For better coordination of all administrative, medical and clinical work, OSD have appointed Ashok Patel CEO VUDA as Administrator and Dr Minoo Patel as Advisor for overall supervision of both the Hospitals.

    After taking over as Administrator of Dedicated COVID Hospital at SSG, Ashok Patel along with Advisor Dr Minoo Patel visited SSG Hospital daily and conducted meetings with all Departments and concerned Agencies. Serious lapses comes out in their report.

    Dr. Rao informed, Today they have submitted a Factual Report to him giving details of dereliction of duties and serious supervisory lapses on the part of Medical Superintendent.  

    Based on this Report today he issued a Show Cause Notice to Dr Rajeev Deveshwar,  Medical Superintendent of SSG Hospital seeking his reply in 7 days why action should not be  initiated against him under The Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897. 

    After following the due process of law, appropriate action will be strictly taken based on the explanation received from him, further added Dr. Rao.
