(I2IM), CHARUSAT has organised Industry Institute Interaction (I3) and Sectoral Insights Sessions (SIS) under Industry Academia Meet (IAM)-2018 on July 14, 2018.
A total of 30 Senior and Middle Level Managers / Executives / Experts from 15 different sectors and 15 different organisations participated in the event. Around 300 students of MBA and BBA Programmes were benefited by the interactive panel discussions on various sectors of an economy. The industry representatives participated in panel discussions and made presentation on Strength Weakness, Opportunities and Challenges of various sectors and its future outlook.
“SIS aims to provide a platform to our UG students to interact with Industry Experts and get valuable insights about corporate world, its functioning and Industry / Sector, provide a professional forum to enhance Sector Specific Industry Institute Interaction, foster linkages with various stakeholders from organization, and generate support for UG / PG Students from Industry in the various areas (Placement Assistance Programme (PAP), Organisation Attachment Programme (OAP), Summer Internship Programme (SIP), Industry Exposure Training (IET), Project and Consultancy, Industrial Visits, Expert Sessions, Workshop and Seminars, Feedback on Syllabus / Course outline),” said by Dr. Govind Dave, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, Principal, Indukaka Ipcowala Institute of Management.
Anand Regional Co-Operative Oilseeds Grower’s Union Ltd., Laxmi Snacks Pvt. Ltd., Agribazaar, Bank of Baroda, Bikewale, Chemical Shoppee, Future Systems, Real Bakers, Chintamani Events, Bajaj Allianz and many more have participated in the Meet.
The panel discussions were divided into four tracks. Ideas were exchanged among the Executives, Faculty members and Management Students on sectors like Banking & Financial Services, Information Technology, Engineering & Manufacturing, Print Media, Recruitment and Consultancy, Publications, Pharmaceuticals, Paints, Home Appliances, Food and Beverages during the discussion.
