Admitted after health deteriorated due to doctors negligence
The scientist girl admitted in the private hospital in Vadodara died on Sunday. She was admitted here after her health deteriorated due to the negligence of the doctors of Nisarg Hospital situated in Warsia area of the city. Police took possession of the body and sent it to Sayaji Hospital for postmortem. On June 1, the girl was admitted to Nisarg Hospital for a small surgery of a boil on her back.
As per the details, Pradipsinh Rawat working as MR resides in Sahas Park Society on Ajwa Road. His daughter Akanksha Shah, who was doing research on flies in Bhopal, came to Vadodara due to lockdown. She had a boil in the back side and her father took her to the Orthopedic Nature Hospital on Warsia Ring Road on June 1. Dr. Shweta Shah after conducting a preliminary investigation, told the girl’s father for a minor surgery. Pradip Rawat gave permission to perform the surgery but suggested that the daughter be operated on without making her unconscious. But, the doctor said, surgery is not possible without anesthesia.
Meanwhile Akanksha was taken to the operation theater and was given anesthesia before the operation. However, as soon as she was given anesthesia, her heart rate increased and she was rushed to the nearby Bankers’ Heart Hospital after difficulty in breathing. She was later shifted to Narhari Hospital at Fatehgunj, where she died on Sunday.
It is to be noted that the family members complained the matter aggressively after the life of Akanksha was in danger due to the negligence of the doctors of Nisarg Hospital. Warsia police reached the spot after the family informed the police and further investigating in the matter. On Sunday after the death of the girl Warsia police reached the spot and send the body for postmortem.
