Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy CM Nitin Patel headed a top level meeting and review the health related situation in the state in view of Coronavirus Pandemic. A decision is taken to close all educational institutions, schools, colleges, cinema halls and swimming pools for two weeks. A 500 fine also to be imposed on the persons spitting in open by the assigning authorities. Board exams will continue as per schedule.

As part of precautionary measures Gujarat government took a big decision to close schools, colleges, swimming pools and cinema halls in view of the Corinavirus scare. From 16th to 29th March the educational institutions, schools, colleges, cinema halls and swimming pools are closed for two weeks. Government also impose fine on the person spitting in open as Coronavirus spreads due to the droplets of the infected person.

Further government request the private offices, religious organisations not to organise functions which have large gathering of people as a precautionary measure in view of the disease. In view of ongoing board exams the government allowed the papers to be conducted as per schedule. Teachers and staff are allowed to go to the schools for office work.
