Sayaji Hospital provide tele-mentoring and tele-consultation services in seven zone districts for Covid 19

Save patients in war against Corona and give them an understanding of the prescribed guideline

Sayaji Hospital has made a noble contribution by treating patients from Corona in about 8 districts besides Vadodara. Along with this, Dr. Rupal Doshi and Dr. Himanshu Rana is continuously monitoring the important work of make them aware about the proper treatment of Covid victims, the guidelines and changes prescribed by the health institutions of the Government of India to the doctors and health workers of the seven zones of Central Gujarat. This has proved to be very useful in making the treatment more effective and saving the lives of the patients undergoing treatment in remote districts.

Tele-mentoring and tele-consultation, which in simple Gujarati can be called indirect guidance or backing and indirect treatment advice, are used to treat soldiers on the battlefield when wounded and away from the base hospital, mostly by telephone at that time.

The fight against corona is nothing short of a battle, so the health department has used these methods using existing digital and online facilities, and a team of specialist doctors from Sayaji Hospital have been providing these services in 7 zones in various districts of Central Gujarat since the beginning of the corona crisis and in July. Dr. OB Belim, Administrative Nodal Officer, Corona Treatment Facility, says that it is a matter of pride that they are providing intensive care to patients in such difficult times.

Under this operation, in addition to online, important work has been done to provide important information about corona to the health department by going to the centers of all the districts included in the zone and training to the medical and para medical staff on corona treatment and vigilance.

Dr. Belim said that in addition to expanding the scope of covid treatment facilities in the city of Vadodara, when it comes to accrediting a private hospital, a team led by the above doctors has worked out a recommendation for approval based on intensive observation and study of the treatment facilities available at the hospital. Thus, with the work of proper treatment, proper education and training under this concept, a very key contribution has been made in the expansion of Corona treatment facility.

As new and innovative research by the World Health Organization, Government of India and ICMR continues, the health community of the seven zones are informed and understand the ever-changing Corona Guideline under the leadership of Dr. Rupal and Dr. Himanshu of Sayaji Hospital.

The team visited the small centers in remote villages and shared the knowledge and also monitored whether the treatment was done by following the guidelines laid down in each center of the entire zone.

The team from Sayaji Hospital has rendered its services to Vadodara urban and rural areas as well as Godhra, Dahod, Mahisagar, Chhotaudepur, Narmada, Bharuch and Ankleshwar and still continues.

Dr. Belim states that a sub-committee has also been formed under the main committee Of Dr. Rupal and Dr. Himanshu. These people have been conducting 250 to 300 online sessions as per the two daily tele-mentorings and giving indirect direction to the treatment of more than 2500 corona victims approximately 20 to 25 daily under indirect treatment counseling.
