    Former Secretary To GM & CPRO/WR Ravinder Bhakar Joins as CEO of Central Board Of Film Certification

    On 29th June, 2020 Sachin Ashok Sharma (IRTS) took charge of Secretary to General Manager of Western Railway from outgoing Secretary to GM/WR and Chief Public Relations Officer Ravinder Bhakar who has  joined as Chief Executive Officer of Central Board of Film Certification.

    Sharma is an officer of the Indian Railways Traffic Service of 2009 batch and has worked in important assignments pertaining to train operations in previous positions as Senior Divisional Operations Manager of Nagpur and Bilaspur Railway Divisions under South East Central Railway. His role as SR.DOM/Bilaspur particularly holds distinction for having made an all time record of highest freight loading & earning by any division over Indian Railways.

    Sharma’s  contribution towards improving Average Speed of Freight Trains & successfully implementing the concept of Mega Integrated Corridor blocks over Nagpur Division, won him the Railway Board’s National Award in 2016. He has also been the recipient of Gold Medal for Best IRTS probationer in Academy,  COM’s Award & General Manager’s Award. An officer with wide experience of Passenger and Freight Train Operations, he has successfully facilitated more than 50 Non-interlocking works for creation of new infrastructure augmentation projects. 

    Recently, Alok Kansal – General Manager of Western Railway, has lauded his efforts and issued appreciation letter for his role during lockdown period, especially with regards monitoring of Shramik Special Trains.

    Outgoing Secretary to GM and CPRO/Western Railway Ravinder Bhakar has joined as CEO of CBFC. Bhakar in his tenure as Secy to GM and Chief Public Relations Officer of WR managed his double responsibilities with utmost efficiency. Under his leadership as CPRO, Western Railway’s media management, social media presence and online reputation grew manifold, as well as W.Rly won so many prestigious awards & accolades for its creative excellence in various fields. 

    Bhakar is also a recipient of the Railway Board’s National Award alongwith many other prestigious awards at various levels and has also been aplauded for the consistent efforts and several achievements of him and his team during the Coronavirus Pandemic lockdown in an appreciation letter by WR General Manager Alok Kansal.
