Will perform thermal screening of patients and provide medicine and meals to patients undergoing treatment in Corona ward

Vadodara administration is taking many innovative steps to fight against Coronavirus which is peaking up very fast in recent times. The focus is now shifting to less contact which can prevent the spread of virus.

Working on the same administration is now firing on to robots for assisting them in their fight. Vadodara SSG hospital is now getting the help of these robots for screening of corona virus as well as provide items including medicines to patients undergoing treatment in isolation wards. The two robots will also perform thermal screening of patients coming to the OPD.

An isolation ward has been set up in SSG, the largest hospital in Central Gujarat to treat more than 500 patients simultaneously as per the guidelines of COVID-19. Until now, patients coming to the hospital for various ailments, families accompanying them, patients coming for Covid-19 test as well as Corona patients undergoing treatment in isolation wards were treated by the hospital staff. As a result they are constantly working under fear of the corona virus.

Now their fear will be taken over by the robots as they will assist them in their daily routine. The robots have been provided by a private company under the CSR fund to the SSG hospital. They will perform thermal screening of patients coming to the OPD, families accompanying the patients. In addition, the robot will provide medicine and meals to patients undergoing treatment in Corona ward.  The machines work at Sayaji Hospital has become a center of attraction for Corona patients as well as patients coming for treatment of various ailments and their accompanying families. More robots will be places in coming days.

In addition, digital OPG and cephalostat machine is placed in the dental department of Sayaji Hospital inaugurated by the Dean of the Medical College, Dr. Tanuja Javadekar and Dr. Rajiv Deveshwar Supritendent of Sayaji Hospital. This OPG will be used for X-ray examination of Damparo Mandy Bular joint and maxillary sinuse along with diagnosing all diseases of the dental jaw.  The machine will also perform digital X-rays of the hand and wrist and prove to be a blessing for poor patients.
