Shouted slogans against VMC as water entered inside their houses after monsoon rains

Residents of Vrajalila Society near Waghodia Road Parivar crossing shouted slogans against the VMC after rain water entered inside their houses. They said to be facing the same situation for the last five years and the condition is still the same after repeated representations to the officials.

Many areas get waterlogged after the torrential rains in Vadodara city. As the Vishwamitri river is flowing near the danger mark, administration has moved people to safer places living in nearby areas. Apart from that many areas in city faced the problem of rain water entered inside their houses and make them live in the same situation.

Residents of Vrajalila Society are facing the same problem and in this difficult time raised slogans against the VMC. They express anger against the administration for not listening to their pleas and that leads to the same situation they faced in the past. According to the residents, this has been a problem in Vrajalila society for the last 5 years. If it raining for only 1 hour the area becomes a swimming pool. In addition sewage water also entered with rain water which makes it difficult for the residents to move out or park their vehicles. The problem has not been resolved in the last 5 years even after many representations to the local ward office as well as the councillors.

Amidst Coronavirus there is a sense of fear in residents and the monsoon bring more problems for them. The society residents demand solution to the problem at the earliest.
