A research student Trupti K. Gajaria of the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda has bagged award for best oral presentation at national platform.
She bag the award in prestigious conference “The First DAE-BRNS Computational Chemistry Symposium (DAE CCS)” held at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai, during 7-9 November 2019.
Trupti K.
Gajaria is a Ph.D. student of Prof. P. K. Jha, works as a research scholar in
the prestigious DST women scientist scheme. The award was given for a
fundamental research work carried out on the selected III-V compounds with
two-dimensional quantum confinement for testing their applicability in latest
energy application fields like photovoltaic solar cells and optoelectronics.
This
phenomenon of nanoengineering is now being utilized overall the globe owing to
its ability to design materials with tailor-made properties which is a problem
of great interest.
