In a significant operational decision, the Indian Railways has suspended the Udaipur Vande Bharat Express due to consistently low passenger occupancy. Railway officials stated that the premium semi-high-speed service was not attracting the expected ridership, making its continued operation on the route commercially unviable.

According to sources, the rake has now been reassigned to the higher-demand Udaipur–Asarwa Vande Bharat Express corridor, where passenger response has been significantly stronger. The move is aimed at optimizing resources and ensuring better utilization of Vande Bharat trains across routes with greater demand.

Railway authorities maintained that such adjustments are part of periodic performance reviews and route rationalisation strategies to balance operational costs with passenger requirements.
