In a shocking incident local people looted oil from a tanker after it overturned near Tarsali in Vadodara. The truck loaded with 32 tonnes of crude cottonseed oil from a private company in Akola, Maharashtra was on its way to Kadi when the driver lost control of the steering wheel and it overturned on the National Highway.
Om Prakash Mali, a driver from a private company in Akola, Maharashtra, loaded more than 32 tonnes of crude cottonseed oil in a tanker and set out to deliver it at Kadi. Meanwhile, he lost control of the steering wheel near Tarsali in Vadodara on the National Highway and the tanker overturned near a open drain. This caused the crude cottonseed oil to flow out and people took advantage of the situation instead of helping the driver.
Driver Omprakash Mali was rescued in the accident, but the company has to suffer as the tanker overturned. Police have taken further action after the driver lodged a complaint.
