Bhavish Aggarwal: Krutrim AI now live with Ola Electric and Ola Cabs

Ola Electric said on August 15 that Krutrim, an artificial intelligence (AI) startup launched by Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal, are now live with Ola Electric and Ola Cabs along with Krutrim's AI customer care tool.

This was announced by Aggarwal during Ola's ‘Sankalp 2024’ event in Bengaluru.

Krutrim, first unveiled in December 2023, became the country's first AI unicorn earlier this year after disclosing a $50 million financing at a $1 billion valuation.

The funding round was led by Matrix Partners India, an early backer of Aggarwal's other ventures Ola Cabs and the IPO-bound Ola Electric.

At the event, Aggarwal also said that the company is going to set up a 1-GW data centre facility by 2028. 

Along with the data centre, the firm also said that it will launch India's first chip, developed by Krutrim. 

Krutrim launched a variety of AI chips namely Bodhi - 1 and Bodhi -2 which supports 10 trillion plus parameters.

Bodhi 2 will be launched by 2028, the firm said.

On May 4th, Krutrim launched a standalone Android app for its eponymous AI chatbot that intends to take on rivals such as OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google's Gemini and Microsoft's Copilot.
