OSD Dr. Vinod Rao visited Pioneer, Dhiraj and Parul hospitals

Review the progress in increasing the beds capacity in these hospitals

Officer on Special Duty and Education Secretary Dr. Vinod Rao visited the Pioneer Campus and reviewed the progress in the construction of a 750-bed covid treatment facility here. District Development Officer Kiran Zaveri also remain present with him.

Dr. Rao said, against about 280 bed capacity 170 beds are vacant and ventilators are also available at the hospital. Work for installation of 20,000 litre Liquid Oxygen Tank is started at the campus. 150 Oxygen beds will be added in next 3 days. Total 750 Bed Campus will be created with support of IOCL in next 7 days.

Dr. Rao then reviewed the situation at Dhiraj Hospital at Sumandeep campus. He said, against capacity of 320 Beds, 170 Beds are vacant. Expansion work to increase capacity to 500 Beds in 3 days and 1000 beds in 7 days is going on.

He also reviewed the situation at Parul Hospital where they have 300 Beds and about 100 of them are vacant. They are adding capacity to 500 in next 3-4 days.
