OSD Dr. Vinod Rao had video conferencing with Collectors and DDOs of other districts

Had interaction about increasing facilities in hospitals and talked about effectiveness of door to door surveillance

Officer on Special Duty Dr. Vinod Rao had Video conferencing with Collectors and DDOs of other districts and sensitise them about increasing facilities at the dedicated Covid hospitals. He also mentioned about starting evening Dhanvantari Raths for the labour and salaried class people comes home after work.

Dr. Rao had meetings with Collectors and DDOs of Bharuch, Anand, Kheda, Panchmahals, Dahod, Narmada, Chotaudaipur and Mahisagar along with local officers of Vadodara. He Sensitized Collectors of other districts about increasing number of Oxygen beds, ICU Beds and Ventilator Beds.

During the interaction all Collectors have agreed to increase it engaging Private Hospitals and Government Hospitals so that patients get early and timely care locally. Dr. Rao said About 25% of Hospital Beds in Vadodara are occupied by patients from neighboring districts.

Dr. Rao also shared the Door to Door Surveillance and Dhanwantari Raths initiatives for early detection and early intervention to minimize mortality. He mentioned that door to door surveillance is the most effective way and the Dhanvantari Raths are complementing it. He also said about starting evening Dhanvantari Raths for labour and salaried people.
