One more tortoise found dead inside the historical Sursagar lake in Vadodara

One more tortoise was found dead inside the historical Sursagar lake situated in the middle of Vadodara city. Volunteer of GSPCA reached the spot and safety remove the dead tortoise from the water before handing ot over to the forest department.

As per available details Raj Bhavsar of Gujarat SPCA received a call from the security guard of Susagar that a tortoise was found dead inside the water near gate number one.

Volunteer Rinav Kadam immediately reached Sursagar Lake and found a water tortoise dead in a very bad condition. He immediately pulled the tortoise out of the water and handed it over to Vadodara Forest Department. Earlier Five to six tortoises have been found dead in Susagar Lake and they are dying miserably.

Raj Bhavsar said, Despite frequent reporting to the administration, no official has come to investigate or take precautionary measures. If they still does not pay attention then such turtles will still be found dead. He request to check the cause of the death and clean the excessive waste from inside the lake.
