Total number reaches to six family members put under home quarantine

One more patient died in Vadodara which takes the total number of deaths to six in the city. The patient was admitted in the hospital with symptoms on 16th April and died in the evening on same day. His reports came aa positive of Coronavirus in the night.

As per details
resident of Hanuman Falia at Madanzampa road Chirag kachhiya 31 years was
admitted in Gotri hospital on 16th April Thursday and died in the evening. As
per details given by health department he was vegetable vendor by occupation
and having no travel history as per explained by his relatives. 

He develop
fever and weakness on 14/4/20 and consulted Dr Shailesh Shah of Urjita hospital
at karelibag on the same day. He was treated with IV fluids and stayed in the
hospital for 3 hrs. He came back home after feeling better.

Again on
15/4/20 night he develop dyspnea and chest heavyness and consulted Dr. Shailesh
Shah on 16th morning for the similar complaints. He advised him to shift to
higher center and patient went to GMERS Hoti and was admitted in ICCU in
critical condition. He later died in the evening and his reports came as
positive of Coronavirus in the night.

As per health
department, there are total 26 close family contacts of the patients who are
staying in the same building on three different floors. At present none of
family members are having any Corona related symptoms and the teams has
completed home quarantine activity as per guidelines. Furthermore during
investigation it is found that late Chirag kachhiya was known case of
hypertension, diabetes and Morbid obesity (wt 111kg). 

The health teams contacted Dr. Shailesh Shah and contact tracking of persons who attended the covid positive patient and their Quarantining will be made early on Friday. Dr. Shailesh Shah runs only OPD with no admission. On 14th he had seen the patient with full protection, but his staff nurse, receptionist and Ayush doctor were exposed. On 16th patient was referred from outside only, so Dr Shailesh Shah doesn’t require any attention but rest of above mention staff advised for home quarantine.
