Two years old girl discharged after four elderly defeating the deadly Coronavirus

When the deadly Coronavirus is taking it’s toll on people of Vadodara, here is a story which brings a ray of hope for the patients. A two-year-old from Bodeli defeat the virus and returned back to her home from GMERS Gotri. The doctor and medical staff handover the baby to her family with a smile on their faces.

Child specialist Doctor Lalit Naineewale informed that kids less than five years old are in the high-risk group like the elderly people when it comes to Coronavirus. The grandparents and elders of the two-year-old was tested positive but luckily she had less symptoms. The doctors gives supportive treatment to her as per standard protocol and happy to be successful in it.

During treatment, the two-year-old was tested negative thrice and is discharged from the hospital. Earlier her grandfather was discharged from the hospital and this brings a bouquet of happiness to the family.

Till date, five patients (three from the city and two from Bodeli) were discharged after the full recovery from Coronavirus. Dr. Chirag Rathod from the hospital said, four of the patients are above 55 and the kid is only two years old which makes all of them in the high-risk category. Out of the four two are also suffering from diabetes and two has kidney complications which increase the risk and that was like a challenge to them. Their team successfully treated all of them and it gives them new energy to treat the other patients and help them defeat the deadly virus.

The girl father Ahmedullah said his father was tested positive and hence the doctors also checked his daughter and admitted her in the hospital. After 13 days of treatment, her reports came as negative and discharged from the hospital. He gives a thumbs up for the treatment facility and staff at the hospital.
