One youth seriously injured after rotten 66000 kv closed line fell on him at Nadesari

Once again a youth was seriously injured when a rotten wire of the 66000 kv closed line of the GETCO company suddenly fell on him Nandesari Industrial Estate near Vadodara. Another youth received minor injuries in the incident.

This morning a youth named Ranjit Gohil reached Nandesari settlement from Fajalpur village with a tractor to supply water to Nandesari industrial estate. Meanwhile the rotten 66000 kv wire fell on the parked tractor and he received serious injuries. Another youth receive minor injuries and send for treatment. A major accident was averted in case the wire is live.

It may be mentioned here that due to the presence of chemical industry in Nandesari industrial estate, the wires supplying electricity rot quickly and frequently break down causing accidents. Babu Bhai Patel, the chairman of Nandesari Industrial Estate, had repeatedly approached the GETCO company about the removal of the wires from the closed line of the company, but they did not listen and the tragedy took place today. However, the villagers had a sigh of relief as no casualties were reported in the entire incident. The villagers are demanding immediate removal of such rotten wires from the power supply.
