The nursing staff of Gotri Covid Hospital celebrated the auspicious day of Rakshabandhan with the patients under treatment. One of the nurse Dikshita Suthar unable to visit her brother said, God will protect her brother and this time her priority is to heal the patients undergoing treatment in the hospital. It is my feeling that all the men and women who are undergoing treatment in the hospital will recover soon and go home to celebrate all the upcoming festivals.

Dikshitaben, a resident of Vadodara and a nurse at Gotri Covid-19 Hospital, said, “She is on duty since the Covid center has been started here. Today, on the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan, I definitely remember my brother. But, to protect my brother, my sisters will tie him the rakhis and pray for his brother’s long life. She also sincerely pray that God protects her brother in the corona period.

Dikshitabahen Suthar further said that they are working in the hospital in the difficult times of Corona pandemic and today despite the sacred Rakshabandhan festival she is unable to tie Rakhi on the wrist of her brother. She also have a one and a half year old child, but it’s satisfying for them to celebrate the festival with the Corona patients under treatment at the hospital as they have maintained a cordial relationship with them and they are also just like their siblings. All of the nursing staff are on duty to ensure that they return home as soon as possible and celebrate all the upcoming festivals with their families.

Sunitaben Singh, incharge nurse of the Gotri Covid Center said, about 300 nurses were on round-the-clock duty to treat Corona patients. The staff can’t even go home. Despite the auspicious day of Rakshabandhan today, most of the sisters of the staff could not go to tie the Rakhis on the wrists of their brother. But, we want someone’s brother who is being treated in the hospital to be healed as soon as possible and someone to celebrate the upcoming festivals with his family. We sisters celebrated Rakshabandhan with patients undergoing treatment at the hospital.
