Corona patients receive treatment at the hospital away from family and friends. A unique arrangement has been made in the covid department of Sayaji Hospital so that they can enjoy the Diwali festival by staying in the hospital.
On Deepawali the hospital administration organise deepotsav for the patients recieving treatment in the SSG hospital and celebrate the festival of lights with them. As part of this, lamps were lit and sweets are distributed to the patients to make them feel the joy and sweetness of the biggest festival of the year. The aim is to make the patients feel at home in the hospital on the occasion.
Dr. Belim said that in the treatment of corona, if the patients feel happy their morale becomes stronger and this mental positivity gives them strength to fight the disease. Keeping this in mind, earlier on the occasion of Navratri, a festival of Shakti Aradhana was celebrated by combining physical exercise with Garba. This unique event has been organized in collaboration with the hospital staff and doctors which will help the patients in relieving stress and make Diwali memorable.
As Corona Warrior, Sayaji Hospital’s nursing staff has been taking care of patients continuously since March. They plans to make patients Diwali more enjoyable and join the celebration in a variety of costumes to make the celebration more enjoyable.
The smile on the faces of patients tell the story as they enjoy the festival with enthusiasm and pray to get back with their families soon. They also appreciate the efforts of the hospital as they make them felt like home.
On this occasion all pray to God to save Vadodara, Gujarat, India and the whole world from the Corona epidemic and to keep all Corona Warriors safe and healthy. They also pay tribute to those who lost their lives due to Corona.
