NSIC organise a seminar on government of India schemes for SC ST entrepreneurs in Vadodara

Aim to inspire the entrepreneurs to take benefit of the schemes to set up their businesses

The National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) in association with Gujarat Audyogik Vikas Nigam organised a seminar on government of India schemes for SC ST entrepreneurs. The aim is to inspire the entrepreneurs to come forward to take benefit of the schemes and set up their businesses.

About 100 entrepreneurs attend the seminar in Vadodara where the officials brief them about the schemes run by the government and invite them to join the stream with their ideas. Furthermore the entrepreneurs set up their MSME and also generate employment for others.

“The seminar is to breif the SC ST entrepreneurs about the government schemes and invite them to the main stream. Government is working on the SC ST Hub and we want to give momentum to the public procurement policies to increase their purchase in the government sectors. In the last five or six years only .5% target is achieved against the 4% decided by the government and we went to increase the percentage, ” said P.K. Jha Zonal General Manager Central Zone NSIC.

Talking about Gujarat the department distribute about 135 crore loans to the SC ST entrepreneurs against the sanctioned 100 crore. In Vadodara they sanctioned loans of 35 crore to 40 units in the last six months.
